India Travel Blog 01 - Ordinary People
We are all ordinary people
looking for the same things
We are all ordinary people, looking for the same things, each on a journey finding our own path. Why not make life a little easier by finding others who are doing the same? Surrounding yourself with the right individuals is no different than taking care of your body by eating the right foods. Build a team, find others like you who are on their own journey- searching for themselves and their own process.
In a world ruled by instant gratification, people are looking for that quick fix- They wany the answers to everything- simply put people want what others have, but don’t want to put in the work. We are so caught up with seeing end results that we forget that there is a process to everything; find your own process.
"Build a team, find others like you who are on their own journey- searching for themselves and their own process."
Talent gets mistaken for relentless dedication and passion for your craft.
Why are we so afraid to fail?
Talent gets easily mistaken for relentless dedication and passion for your craft. Put in your 10,000 hours and you will begin to find what you seek. I say begin because it can lead to some depressing moments; self doubt, fear of failure, fear of making mistakes, fear of not being perfect enough.
Why are we so afraid to fail? What searching for perfection means is that you’ve made countless mistakes- more than anyone else. Being perfect is to have failed many times over. Its part of the process, its how you find your own magic. This magic lies inside each of us- its found by learning about yourself, its found in the unique approach to the way you work. Its how we do things, and the way we do them. We can all follow the same recipe, use the same ingredients, but arrive at entirely different results.
Study yourself, because your process is the book about you.
The truth is that there is no secret to this life, no magic trick or shortcut to reaching your destination- you can be given directions, but ultimately you have to drive yourself there. Think of your foundation as house, if you want it built fast, employ a team, cut corners and it will eventually fall, do it yourself and it might just take an eternity- you might even quit along the way so find some helping hands because no house was built by one man or woman.
